An old theater building with a marquee sign that says 'Under Contract YAY Donate to BTEC, see FB + TXY'. The theater is located between two brick buildings, with a clear sky above. Light trails from passing cars are visible at the street level in the foreground.

Our Purpose

Bijou Theatre and Enrichment Center (BTEC) is a registered Maine non-profit corporation. Its Directors have the intention of rehabilitating and opening the Pittsfield, Maine Community Theatre (aka Bijou) and expanding it into a space for area communities to enjoy the arts, including movies, live performances of many types, and more! The closing on the building is scheduled for November 7, 2025.

How you can help!

Our biggest need right now is to raise funds to cover the costs of insurance, utilities, and the initial repairs required to bring the building up to Code for fire safety and electrical.

We also need to make the necessary initial repairs to ensure the interior is environmentally healthy and safe for the public before we can consider opening the doors for events.

Please consider a donation to help us move forward. Every dollar will move us closer to our goal of opening the doors.

MAKE A DONATION
A small town main street scene from March 1972 featuring brick buildings, a vintage light blue car parked along the sidewalk, and a woman walking. The buildings include a theater marquee and stores like Rex's.
